Stanisław Selent po pierwszy raz usłyszał poselstwo adwentowe w Bydgoszczy, w Polsce, w 1958 roku. Wkrótce został ochrzczony. W 1964 roku ożenił się z Hildą, z którą miał 4 dzieci. Dzieci mają teraz swoje rodziny i wszyscy są aktywni w Kościele Adwentystów. W roku 1972 wyemigrował do Australii i został członkiem Polskiego kościoła ADS w Oakleigh, Melbourne. Był jego członkiem przez 10 lat. W 1982 roku przeniósł się razem z rodziną do West Gippsland, 100 km od Melbourne i tam został członkiem kościoła ADS w Warragul. W swojej lokalnej społeczności, aktywnie dzieli się nowiną o rychłym powrocie naszego zbawiciela Pana Jezusa Chrystusa.

Stan heard the Advent message for the first time while in Bydgoszcz, Poland, in 1958. He was baptised shortly after. In 1964, he married Hilda and had 4 children, all of whom are now married and active in the Adventist church. He migrated to Australia in 1972 and was a member of the Oakleigh Polish SDA church for 10 years. In 1982, he along with his family moved to West Gippsland, 100km out of Melbourne and became members of the Warragul SDA church. He is active in his local community, sharing the good news of the soon return of our Lord Jesus Christ along with his wife.
