It was a beautiful, sunny day. The Polish atmosphere was hanging in the air, together with the smell of freshly fried potato pancakes, and sausages with onion.
Children were already playing with toys, their faces painted with the Polish colors.
The Dandenong crew placed their books, DVD's, CD's and handouts not far from the stage where the music was playing.
It is incredible, pastor Pawel Ustupski was mentioning that the best things are for free; fresh air, beautiful sun and a lot of hope which we brought with us, where the treasures of the good news were locked in the pages of the literature, ready to be opened by people passing by.
Marek Smalec with his kind, soft approach was introducing our resources to interested people, who started coming constantly to our booth. Zbyszek and Grazyna Jankiewicz were filling balloons with air, so the logo and website address of Dandenong SDA church could be seen on white and red balloons, joyfully carried around by children all over. It is wonderful to be part of a community where we can help each other and count on each other. It was great to see many people from the church coming if even for a little while, helping with different tasks at our booth. A huge number of people, who were passing by, had a chance to receive an invitation to the church, as well as books and articles, which will spark their interest in our God. We had many beautiful discussions, and we had a chance to meet many different people. The lovely encounters and well-spent time, serving the Polish community, sharing the love of God, was the highlight of the event for our group. We could feel that the Holy Spirit has a purpose in us being there as well as for everyone who was put in our path.
