Dzień Ojca 5 września 2009 r w polskim kościele adwentystycznym Dandenong
Dzień Ojca - jest dniem wyrazu szacunku dla ojców. Pierwszy raz Dzień Ojca obchodzili mieszkańcy miejscowości Spokane w USA, 19 czerwca 1910 r.
Sonora Louise Smart Dodd zaproponowała pastorowi swojego kościoła wyznaczyć jeden dzień dla oddania hołdu swojemu ojcu, którego uważała za niezwykłego człowieka (po śmierci żony wychował sześcioro dzieci).
W 1924 r. prezydent USA zaakceptował ten dzień jako święto. W różnych krajach dzień ten jest obchodzony w różnym terminie.
W tymże dniu drugą część nabożeństwa rozpoczął ojciec Andrzej Tomasiuk wraz ze swoimi trzema córeczkami
Grupa młodych śpiewaków z gościem z Adelajdy Natanielem, włączyła zgromadzenie do śpiewu pięknych pieśni o tematyce rodzinnej.
Piękną modlitwę za wszystkich, a szczególnie za ojców zmówili ojcowie: Rodney i Wiesław.
Uroczyste obchody Dnia Ojca rozpoczęły „dorastające istotki" - niedawno były to małe dzieci
Następnie doszły dzieci mniejsze - z jakąż radością i miłością mówiły i śpiewały o ojcach - przyjaciołach!
Trzecia tura - średniaków wraz z małą Sarą przekazywały życzenia swoim Tatusiom po polsku.
Wszystkie dzieci razem śpiewem wyraziły uwielbienie Boga Ojca
Pod sklepienie kościoła leciały dźwięczne głosiki, z wielkim zaangażowaniem, przejęciem i uśmiechami wyrażały nasze pociechy swoje uczucia, a starsza młodzież je wspierała - z solistą Piotrem Paradowskim na czele.
Nastąpiła miła chwila - wręczenie Ojcom paczuszek ze słodyczami i laurek ręcznie przygotowywanych wcześniej przez dzieci, pod nadzorem nauczycielek. W te laurki dzieci włożyły swoje serduszka i wiele trudu - były to najpiękniejsze karty życzeniowe!

Father's Day is a day when we can express our respect for our fathers. Father's Day was first celebrated in the town of Spokane, USA, June 19, 1910.
Sonora Louise Smart Dodd suggested to the pastor of her church to designate one day for paying homage to her father, who was considered to be an extraordinary man (after the death of his wife he raised six children).
In 1924, the U.S. president accepted the day as a holiday. In various countries, this day is celebrated on different dates.
On this Father's day, the Worship Service was started by Andrew Tomasiuk with his three daughters.
A group of young singers, assisted by Nathaniel who was visiting from Adelaide, joined with the assembly to sing beautiful songs about the theme of family.
A beautiful prayer for everyone, especially for fathers was presented by Rodney and Wieslaw.
Father's Day celebration began with youngsters who are already grown - recently they were small children.
Then came the smaller children who proceeded to sing and speak about their fathers with joy and love!
The third group was the middle class, who spoke their poems in Polish, as well as little Sara to all their Daddys.
All children were singing the praises of God the Father
The church hall was filled with lovely voices, with great dedication, and our smiles expressed our feelings of response. The children had older youth to support them - led by the soloist Peter Paradowski.
There was a nice moment - handing out sweets to all the Fathers as well as Father's Day cards that had been prepared in advance by the children themselves, under the supervision of teachers. In these cards the children showed their hearts, and much effort - these were the most beautiful cards you could wish for!
