Nehemiah’s heart is for rebuilding Jerusalem which represents the glory of God. In spite of attacks from outside and within, Nehemiah restores God’s glory in Israel. But behind the wall, when God’s people could feels secure, the house of the Lord became forgotten—Israel was more concerned with what God has give to the people than with God himself.
