Pr Rajmund Dąbrowski – Dyrektor ds Komunikacji i rzecznik prasowy przy Generalnej Konferencji Kościoła Adwentystów DS w Silver Spring, Maryland USA,
odbył w dniach 24 – 27 lutego szereg spotkań na temat mediów oraz nowoczesnych środków przekazu np. internet - w Wydziale Południowego Pacyfiku w Sydney.

27 lutego wieczór piątkowy i całą sobotę spędził w gronie przyjaciół i w polskim kościele adwentystycznym Dandenong. Przy takich okazjach odżywają wspomnienia, powstaje mnóstwo pytań osobistych i o działalności kościoła – o jego rozwoju.

W kazaniu sobotnim pr R. Dąbrowski nawiązując do tragedii pożaru jaka nawiedziła Wiktorię w ostatnich tygodniach, wyraził współczucie dla poszkodowanych, a słowa podzięki kościołowi za pomoc udzieloną pogorzelcom. Podzielił się tym, że trwa w wierze – bo jest połączony z Bogiem. Wierzy, że Bóg jest zawsze po prawej i lewej stronie, z przodu i z tyłu.
Wie, że Bóg zawsze prowadzi...

Rozważanie biblijne było oparte na Ew. Mateusza 9, 9 : „Gdy Jezus odchodził stamtąd, zobaczył człowieka, który pobierał cło. Miał na imię Mateusz. Powiedział do niego: ‘Pójdź za Mną!’. A on wstał i poszedł za Nim.”

Wezwanie „Pójdź za Mną!” jest wciąż aktualne. U Boga nie liczą się tylko umiejętności, wiedza, stan posiadania czy pozycja społeczna. Mateusz był celnikiem na rzymskiej służbie – więc był „nieczysty” i doskonale zdawał sobie z tego sprawę. Pytał siebie gdzie iść?
Nadzieja przyszła z zewnątrz... nastąpiło nowonarodzenie. Potem Mateusz stał się uczniem Jezusa.

Czy zadeklarujesz się – „Boże prowadź, użyj mnie!”

Potem pr Rajmund „wziął słuchaczy” na „bezpłatną wycieczkę” do Afryki, na Jamajkę, Kubę, do Wenezueli – mówiąc o rozwoju naszego kościoła w świecie.

Pr Rajmund Dabrowski – Director of the Communication Department of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists in it is Silver Springs, Maryland, USA.  From 24 to 27 February held a number of meetings about media and current ways of communications, internet being one of them, at the South Pacific Division headquarters in Sydney.

The 27 February, a Friday evening and the whole Saturday he spent surrounded by friends in the Polish Seventh Day Adventist Church in Dandenong.

During such occasions we reminisce the times gone by, there are lots of personal questions as well as questions about the work of the world church and it’s growth.

In the Saturday’s sermon Pr Dabrowski mentioned the tragedy of bushfires which engulfed parts of Victoria, he expressed sympathy to those affected, and words of thanks to the church for the help they brought to the victims of this disaster.
He shared with us that –  he is keeping in the faith because he is connected with God, He believes, that God is always on the right, left side as well as in front and behind.
He knows that God always leads….

Bible study was based on the Gospel of Matthew 9,9: “As Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, “Follow Me.” And he arose and followed him.”

The challenge “Follow Me!” is still current. With God the abilities, knowledge, possessions or social standing are not what is most important.
Matthew was a tax collector in the roman service – so he was “unclean” and he was perfectly aware of that.
He asked himself where should he go?
The hope came from outside… new birth had occurred. After which Matthew become a disciple of Jesus.

Will you declare – “Lord lead, use me!”

After which Pr Rajmund “took the listeners” on a free trip to Africa, Jamaica, Cuba and Venezuela – speaking about the growth of the church around the world.
