Piewrszy dzień Kongresu
Pierwszy dzień Kongresu Polonii Adwentystycznej w Australii minął pracowicie dla występujących, słuchających i obsługujących imprezę.
Należy się szczególne uznanie dla całego zespołu odpowiadającego za nagłośnienie, efekty wizualne i przekaz internetowy.
Dzień rozpoczęły warsztaty-seminaria w 3 grupach, później były kazania, wywiady z gośćmi kongresowymi, song servisy prowadzone przez grupy z różnych kościołów polskich.
Odnotować należy występ zespołu polskich adwentystów żyjących w diasporze w Queensland.
A wieczorem przepiękny musical pt. „WYBÓR” przedstawiony przez zespół polskiego kościoła College Park w Adelajdzie.
Przygotowanie tego programu pochłonęło długie godziny pracy i ćwiczeń. Część tekstów było w języku polskim część w angielskim (w obustronnym tłumaczeniu tekstowym na ekranach)
Piękna muzyka i pieśni, dobre głosy solowe i chór, wspaniałe stroje oraz świetna gra!
Była to historia dziejąca się w Palestynie rządzonej przez Rzymian, w której to urodził się, działał, został ukrzyżowany i zmartwychwstał Jezus.
Wybrał Go w swoim życiu młody centurion rzymski – przykład do naśladowania.
Finał był taki: „Każdego dnia dokonujemy wybory... zadecyduj co chcesz zrobić z Jezusem... teraz jest dla ciebie czas wyboru... wybierz Jezusa”.

FIRST DAY OF CONGRESS
The first day of the Polish Adventist Congress was a rather busy time for all participants, whether speakers, audience or those providing various forms of services to ensure the smooth running of such an event.
Those on the technical support warrant special mention as they provided audio and lighting as well as successfully web cast the entire proceedings.
The day began with a choice of three seminars (each exploring different ways of taking the gospel message to the world), followed by a sermon delivered by Pastor Bruce Price in the main auditorium whilst Pastor Clifton Glasgow presented a message aimed at the youth in a separate auditorium.
A number of interviews with special Congress ‘guests’ followed as vocal groups from the various Polish churches led out in rousing song services. Judging by the reaction of the congregation, the vocal group hailing from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland had a notable effect.
The evening program featured a wonderful musical titled ‘The Choice’ and was presented by the members of the Polish Adventist Church in College Park, Adelaide. Many hours of rehearsal went in to preparing for this presentation – not to mention the design and manufacture of props and costumes. Some of the dialog was in Polish, some in English. Either way, the translation of the text was available on the screen for those needing to avail themselves of the service. Wonderful music and words, great solos and choral performances, vivid costumes and excellent acting all contributed to a professional presentation.
The story was set in Roman administered Palestine where Jesus Christ was born, carried out His mission, was crucified and resurrected. It depicted the story of a young Roman Centurion who made his choice – he ultimately chose Jesus. In that choice the young Centurion is a worthy example to each of us.
The final message was as follows; ‘We make choices each day….decide what you will do with Jesus….now is the time to make a choice….choose Jesus!’.
