On the 1st and 2nd December our church ran a youth camp at Camp Howqua. Camp Howqua is set in a beautiful and scenic surrounding bordered by the Howqua River. This tranquil and peaceful location is located approx 2.5 hours from Melbourne.
We had 91 people including several youth from our sister church in Sydney. Saturday was a very busy day with several of our youth leading out in the Sabbath School. Taffey Saalem led the main sermon.

Our smaller children did not miss out. Twenty one children went down to the river and studied Gods Food Chain. The noise of the crickets was deafening  on the banks of the river. At times the teachers voice was being drowned by their presence.

In the afternoon we took a leisurely drive to the top of Mount Buller.  The breathtaking views of the rugged country side from the fire lookout tower was spectacular.
Saturday night was the highlight. We all got dresses up in fancy dress from lumberjack, fairies, vampires, ceasers, muftis and even Santa. It was a very late night full of games and surprises with many going to bed at 4.30am.

Sunday was action packed for those that did not sleep in. We had horse riding, go karts, tennis and water slides.
The weekend was blessed with fine weather with all of us having a great time together and making new friends.
