“Run Melbourne” is an annual fundraising event held in the city of Melbourne. City streets are closed down for the day and thousands of people run for a charity of their choice.
Last year the Melbourne raised $1.5 million in charity donations.
This year an ADRA team will be participating in this event sponsored by The Age Newspaper to rise funds for Women’s Refuges organised by ADRA across Australia and ADRA’s “Keep Girls Safe” project in Thailand.
As a Youth group, we recognized the importance of ADRA’s work in providing medium-term accommodation and emotional and material support, so we wanted to get involved.
So on Sunday July 17 young people from Dandy Polish will be participating in charity run for ADRA.
We fundraising for ADRA and participating in this event to support ADRA’s “End it now” campaign – a stand calling for the end of violence against women and girls in Australia and overseas.
Starting at Federation Square, runners can get involved in the 5 km walk/run; 10 km walk/run and half Marathon. We as a Dandenong Polish team have 10 young people that are fundraising, training and running 10 km for this cause.
Haw can you help?
As a church we can get involved in our Charity by much needed donation!
Please show your support of this great initiative by donating money to ANIA and DANIEL who are organizing the run.
Donation will be very much appreciated and will go straight to ADRA for the continuation of Women’s Refuges troughout Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Thailand.
We will be running as part of the Dandy Polish Seventh day Adventist Church. By participating I this event we have an opportunity to let others in our church its involvement in ADRA.
We appreciate all your support!
