Event: Week of Prayer

 Saturday 1 Oct 2016     7:00 pm

„In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait expectantly.” — Psalm 5:3 (NIV)

Recently I wrote how much I appreciate that at our church there is always something happening, so many things that every week we meet in different groups to praise the Lord and do everything we can to help church grow.

This was the reason we decided to postpone the annual Week of Prayer to October. I have to mention that we meet regularly each Monday at 7 p.m. for our weekly prayer meetings, always connected with studying the Scripture, this time the Gospel of Luke. I believe that many of our Church member also meet in your homes on Mondays, for we know that being united in prayer at the feet of Jesus is important for all of us. Let’s follow the example Jesus gave us.

Daily beset by temptation, constantly opposed by the leaders of the people, Christ knew that He must strengthen His humanity by prayer. In order to be a blessing to men, He must commune with God. (…) Thus He showed His disciples where His strength lay. Without this daily communion with God, no human being can gain power for service. (E.G.White, Counsels to Parents and Teachers, p. 323)

But the annual Week of Prayer means much more. We meet everyday, study the prepared  readings, the same all over the world and later we pray, presenting our Lord many matters and intentions. Our Prayer Week will start on Sabbath, 1st October 2016. On this Sabbath will have the Lord’s Supper, so the atmosphere will be connected to prayers and after we’ll meet every day at 7 p.m. With all my heart I encourage you to come!
